My Website
With my website, the purpose of "Jes Sunshine Music" was to create a website that would serve for future musicians and students. I started this project with many ideas, beginning with draft templates. These templates did help me figure out the final layout for my website. Next, I found a background image with the word "music" and used a - still - html coding that would make the background stay while scrolling down the page. I used lots of tables for my website and created tabs with a rollover image. This rollover image helped disguise the five tabs by making it seem like it was a gif, flash or animation. I inserted other tables to create borders within a table.

Flash Assignments
My jukebox flash assignment began by brainstorming ideas of how to create an unique player. I simply searched for images and found one that had six boom boxes in the image. Then I thought why not have one column represent the "plays" icons and the other column represent the "stops". Afterward, I chose a song and found different versions of the same song. Specifically, these versions were the original recording, instrumental and live version. Next, I used the flash program and created invisible buttons for each of the six boom boxes and commanded each button for either stop or play. This procedure took several tries but after many attempts the jukebox finally worked.
View on the usage of Flash
I believe the flash program allows users to develop innovative projects that can provide viewers with alternative ideas or different outlooks on how technology can be effective to persuading their attention. With interactive games or videos, flash necessary to operate. Flash is useful for teaching because this provides a teaching method for students where technology can promote their personal growth and help visual and kinesthetic learners.
Webhosting
Mochahost, Lunarpages and Hostupon are the three webhosting companies that I decided to venture into and learn how these webhosting companies separate and are different from one another.
Mochahost - http://www.mochahost.com/webhosting.php
Mochahost allows you to have two domain names with a six month free hosting. There are three options to choose from Soho ($1.95), Business ($2.95) and Mocha ($4.25). With each of these options, you have unlimited monthly traffic and disk space. I noticed with Soho only one domain name is offered. The support center operates 24/7 and they offer a range of over 500+ themes/templates for organizing and designing your personal's website. If unsatisfied with Mochahost, they provide a 180 days risk free. One con about Mochahost is they do not offer manageable hosting.
Lunarpages - http://www.lunarpages.com/
Lunarpages offers several hosting options. These options are starter ($2.95), basic ($4.95), windows ($9.95), business ($18.95), dedicated ($99), reseller ($5-$20), and emailing ($1) hosting. With each hosting option, the starter hosting kit does not come with any domain name included. The price for the domain name is priced at $19.95 per year and an additional domain can not be added. There is a limited bandwidth of 50GB and storage is 5GB. The basic option includes a domain name without additional cost. There is unlimited storage and bandwidth space and setup is free. The window hosting allows the user to store up to 5000MB of storage and provides bandwidth of 400GB per month. With the business hosting, space and bandwidth is unlimited and money credit for provided for advertisements. The other hostings specifically dedicated, reseller and emailing, have subhosting options within those and offers similar elements to the previous mentioned hosting options like bandwidth, storage, credit and domain name offers.
Hostupon - http://www.hostupon.com/
Hostupon offers a professional web hosting option that is priced at ($4.95) per month. It offers unlimited storage, domain names and bandwidth. There is a 30 month money back guarantee policy. The webhosting company is easy to use for beginners and offers a customer service (24x7x365) for technical support.

1, 2, 3, Presto
Another day, another blog.
I'm excited for this class as it looks beyond the fundamentals of html coding and focuses in depth on using Flash and Dreamweaver. I truly believe these programs will benefit my needs in the long run as a music teacher. I assume there will be several road blocks here and there when using Flash since I have learned some BASIC steps last semester and was stuck on setting up the flash animation. But I'm looking forward to beat those odds and learn great things from this class.
